Description.

Couplers are used in many circuit and system applications, such as Test & Measurement, RF amplifiers, transmitters and receivers.
The typical hybrid coupler is 3dB Hybrid Coupler, also known as 90-degree hybrid coupler also called Quadrature Hybrid Couplers. This requires the termination of one output port in 50 ohms, and results in a 3dB loss in each signal.
